Curated Daily News
TrendingBlack
Curated daily news for the culture.
Overview
TrendingBlack is an automated news platform for Black Americans — a daily digest that surfaces the wins, the culture, and the moments that matter. Every morning it curates the day's most relevant stories from Black publications, mainstream media, and online communities, then delivers them straight to your inbox.
The Challenge
The news cycle leans heavy on what's broken. For Black Americans, the signal — the excellence, the culture, the everyday wins — gets buried under an endless stream of hard news scattered across dozens of outlets. Staying informed shouldn't mean drowning in the negative or hopping between a dozen tabs to find the stories that actually reflect the community.
The Solution
TrendingBlack reads ~100–150 articles a day across core Black publications, Reddit, and the broader web, then uses AI to curate a tight, positive-first daily digest — four stories celebrating wins and culture for every one piece of hard news. The result is a single calm, vibrant feed and a plain-text email you'll actually open, all running on a lightweight serverless stack.
