[Founder Notes] Henry Ford
Obsessed work. People may not see the future you do and may fight vehemently to get you to do what others are doing. Don't aim left or right. Aim ahead.
Ford left his small town to head to Detroit to learn from Edison and others. He built his first prototype of a car engine in his backyard. Start small. A lot of people didn't see his future, but the important ones — like Edison — did. Filter the feedback.
The right partnership is powerful. Henry and Couzens.
Deliberate provocations usually work. Don't fall for them. Ford was obsessive about control — he successfully coerced his co-investors into providing him funding to take back control of the company.
