How to Break Down Learning
There are 4 pillars of language learning, split into 2 categories: input (listening, reading) and output (speaking, writing).
The most important thing isn't doing all four at once — it's the sequential order: increase input first, then review desired input, then review and edit generated output, then generate output yourself. Combine all three when you have deliberate practice.
Which made me wonder: does learning to code work the same way? Or is coding more active and generative from the start? Is there a "read while listening" equivalent for code? Maybe — get a piece of code, have it explained, use TTS to voice over a walkthrough, use highlighting to follow along. Input before output. Always.
