On Not Talking Much
When I was younger I wasn't much of a talker. Even now, people compliment that I have "a way with words" — which largely comes from a combination of analysis.
Then I started watching Assassination Classroom (an anime that isn't nearly as intense as the name suggests). Unlike any anime I'd watched. Two lessons stuck:
1. Wield a second blade. The teacher is both teacher and target. The students are both students and assassins. The show emphasizes doing two things excellently at the same time. That's how I've always looked at my roles.
2. Communication makes the world go round. It doesn't matter if you make the best product ever. If it stays in your head, it is all for nothing.
