Path of Service vs Path of Serendipity

There are two paths.

The path of service marshalls all of your resources towards a mission for others. The path of serendipity marshalls your resources to enjoy the time that you have.

There is no right or wrong choice. And, often, we fluctuate between the two. My challenge at the moment is an internal struggle of identity and commitment. I feel like I'm balancing both of these paths and I know the path of service is where I want to be. But looking down it, it's full of so much pain. I get discouraged.

Still — I think it's useful to pause and consider: which path are you on, and which do you want to be on? The answer doesn't have to be permanent. But the question does have to be honest.
